Tour Description
This tour starts early in the morning at 4:30 to 4:45am. This will give us enough time to get your tickets and get a good spot to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat temple. After watching the sunrise, we’ll go inside and explore the vast grounds of Angkor Wat. We’ll then stop for breakfast at a local restaurant inside the Angkor Archaeological Park. If you prefer, you can ask your hotel to prepare a packed breakfast for you and we will find a nice quiet spot for you to enjoy your breakfast picnic.
We’ll then drive a few kilometres over to the famous Ta Prohm temple which is also known as the Tomb Raider temple. It was here that the Tomb Raider movie starring Angelina Jolie was filmed in 2001. Nowadays, Ta Prohm is one of the most popular temples on the tourist trail.
Before stopping for lunch, we’ll then stop to see Banteay Kdei temple which is located just to east of Angkor Thom. Banteay Kdei is a Buddhist temple which translates to the “Citadel of Chambers” in English.
We’ll then stop for one hour to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, the tour will with the South Gate of Angkor Thom. After entering the great city, we’ll spend the afternoon exploring the temples inside Angkor Thom. We’ll see the faces at Bayon temple, Baphuon, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King, Phimeanakas and Prasat Suor Prat.

Other Tours
If the sunrise is too early for you, then the Angkor Wat Sunset Tour would be a better option. You can starting exploring a little later in the day, after you’ve had breakfast. Then as the tour comes to an end, we’ll take you to either Phnom Bakheng or Srah Srang to see the sunset.
